Week 96: Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hello, Everyone!

Well, we were pretty disappointed with our appointments this week. All of them fell through which was frustrating. We did have a miracle happen last night, though! We were finally able to contact a less active member who we’ve been trying to track down for a while. He appreciated us stopping by so much that we were able to schedule a return appointment with him!

We are continuing to work with our ward members to help them accomplish their family mission plan goals. We aren’t getting any referrals yet but I know as times goes on, all of this hard work will pay off.

We’re continuing to work through our area books as well. We really want to make sure everyone we have contact information for has heard the gospel. If they are no longer interested, they are temporarily dropped, and other missionaries down the road can contact them again at a later time. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s worth it because it allows us to focus on those who really want to learn about the gospel.

I’m going on exchanges tonight with the zone leaders. I will be going back to one of my old areas, Batavia. It’s kind of weird (and sometimes not as fun) to go back to places you’ve already served in. Oh well, I’m sure it will be nice to see some familiar faces and see how they’re doing.

A member of the seventy is coming to Rochester which means we should be pretty busy this week! We have a lot of meetings to attend to prepare for his arrival. A mission tour is being planned for him as well, so that will keep us busy too. We were asked to fill out a mission-wide survey that asked questions about mission life, the number of wards we cover as a companionship, any leadership positions we hold, etc.

Anyway, I love and miss you all very much!
Elder Peterson
