Week 22: The Healing Power of the Atonement
Hey guys!
Wow it’s my five month mark already?! I keep saying this but time is flying by so fast!
This week was so awesome! We re-activated a less active member! The ward and missionaries in the area have been working with him for almost a decade!! We have been helping him go through the repentance process and have been trying to help him recognize to the spirit more in his life. He has finally committed to come back to church for good! Now we’re working on preparing him to receive the Melchizedek priesthood! It’s so incredible to witness the power of the atonement heal a soul. My testimony has definitely increased. After witnessing something like this I feel the Saviors love so much in my life.
The other family we have been teaching is getting baptized on April 11th! That’s also been an incredible process to be apart of. The spirit is always so strong when we teach them. It’s amazing watching these miracles happen.
Tyrel- I need some advice on motivating our ward to do more missionary work. They’re a little sluggish around here. Any ideas to get people excited?
Dad- Will you email me a basic layout on how you guys do the “Why I Believe” firesides? I think it would be awesome to present to President Francis.
Sometimes I think it’s hard to not compare ourselves with other people. I feel that at times with myself and other missionaries. I just have to keep reminding myself that Heavenly Father called me to be a missionary at this time in this place for a reason, which is a wonderful blessing to have. I just have to repeat it over and over to myself sometimes. :)
I was just given the assignment to share a spiritual thought at our zone conference tomorrow! Wish me luck. :)
I love being on a mission!!!!
I love and miss you all so much!
